Beau Bertus joined Gehris & Associates LLC as an associate in 2023. He focuses his practice in the areas of family law, real estate, and estate planning.

Prior to joining Gehris and Associates, Beau served as an Assistant State’s Attorney; then prior as an associate attorney in Oakbrook Terrace primarily focused on real estate litigation.

While in law school Beau worked as a student advocate for the West Virginia University College of Law Veterans Advocacy Clinic. Beau earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bethany College in 2016, where he received the Frank Alfred Chapman Award for the Most Outstanding History Student, Bethany college Football Scholar Athlete Award, and the Kalon Leadership Award. After undergraduate, Beau attended the West Virginia University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2021.

Beau is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Beau is a member of the McHenry County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

In his free time Beau enjoys sports, spending time with family, and exploring new dog parks with his husky, Maya.
