If you are convicted of Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, you may be subject to more than just fines. A sentence on such a charge may also include community service or jail time. In addition, the Illinois Secretary of State may extend the suspension of your license. Often that extension is for an additional year.
If the suspension or revocation of your license was based upon a DUI mandatory minimum sentences may apply. Those mandatory sentences begin with a minimum 10 days in county jail or 300 hours of community service.
